About MoneySmart Week:
Held Australia-wide in the first week of September, MoneySmart Week is an initiative to encourage Australians to take simple proactive steps to make a positive difference to their financial picture. Future Map is one of over 100 organisations from the private, public and community sectors involved in this independent not-for-profit initiative. As part of our role, we’re running events, winning awards and encouraging all Australians to do a Money HealthCheck. Check it out!
MoneySmart Week Awards:
We are proud to announce this year Future Map received an Outstanding Achievement Award in the Workplace category, specifically for our work delivering fun financial wellbeing programs for graduates and career starters.
MoneySmart Week Awards recognise financial literacy achievements across schools, communities, workplaces, research and individuals. Here’s what the judges said about Future Map!
‘The Judges congratulate Future Map for their highly innovative and creative financial literacy program for graduates. Young workers are at a critical stage of life where financial decisions can have a big impact on their futures. Future Map has created a highly engaging and ‘zingy’ program for their audience and we are pleased to see it is already achieving impressive results. The Judges look forward to seeing more from this exciting project. ‘
The Judging Panel included the Commonwealth Ombudsman Colin Neave AM (Chair), associate editor, senior writer and columnist with the Australian Financial Review Andrew Cornell, Deputy Chairperson at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Delia Rickard and director of Bank of China (Australia) Limited and solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia Robert Thomas.
